In-District Counseling Services

Few public schools have the resources to provide mental health services to students with special needs, and few parents have the time to seek help elsewhere. Sage Thrive fills the gap by partnering with New Jersey public schools to help them deliver in-district counseling services.

By working with our Sage Certified Clinicians™, local districts can help students cope with depression, anxiety, school avoidance, and suicidal thoughts without sending them outside the district or forcing them to find help on their own.

Flexible

Few families have the time to commute to school and then travel elsewhere for mental health services. That’s why we offer in-district, school-based family counseling that meets the needs of busy parents and students. In-district therapeutic services give students and their families the opportunity to address their mental health needs in a safe, comfortable learning environment – in their own school or district. That allows struggling students and overworked parents to participate in individual, group and family sessions within their own communities. In-district services not only reduce the hassle associated with out-of-district (OOD) therapeutic services, they also improve outcomes by reducing stress and inconvenience.

Personal
Students with special needs typically benefit from smaller class sizes and more individualized curriculum. Limiting the number of students in each class allows teachers to interact with students on a more personal level. It also fosters a safer and calmer learning environment. At Sage Thrive, we keep the size of group school therapy sessions to a minimum, so each student can receive the individualized attention they deserve and the personalized mental health care they need to succeed.
